Digital Data Links

Digital Data Links come in many versions and styles. A digital Data Links may be a "Point-to-Point" Link that encompases two CSU/DSUs connected to one or two cable pairs and extending accross the street, or accross town. While this simplistic approach usually utilizes "Dry Pairs" (Cable pairs either owned by the company or provided by the loacal phone company, that are tested and configured to go from one point to annother, and not be suppied with "Talk Battery" from the local Central Office). On the other hand, a Digital Data Link may be an actually "active" link (called a "Mega-Link in Bell South Telephone Regions) that is connected to the local telephone Central Office equipment that is configured to provide 64Kbps (called a DS0), 128Kbps to 960Kbps (referred to as "fractional T-1s"), or even a "full" T-1 (at 1.544Mbps data rate). that is configured to permanently connect two points accross the street, accross town or accross the state or country - and provide a guaranteed sustained "data-rate". Digital Mega-Links are often more desirable when longer distances then 5,000 feet are involved. Digital data tends to interract with the electrical characteristics of a copper cable network and the data signal tends to degrade rapidly when the copper distance increases. Equalizers and Data Restoration elements are tricky to install and configure and the relatively "low Cost" advantage of utilizing "Dry Pairs" tends to deminish quickly. Frame Relay Networks are essentialy WAN Nets or MAN Nets that utilize a Frame Relay Data Switch to provide Distributed Data Links on a "shared network". Data Communications Links over a Frame Relay Network are generally configured utilizing a Virtual Private Network (VPN) Protocol Suite that encapsulates the Data Stream into "packets" that are delivered to specified IP addresses within the network and also placed in TCP/IP formats for transmission to IP destinations outside the "Originating Frame Relay Packet Network".

We Design, Configure, Install, or Broker many forms of Digital Data Links. Our extensive knowledge Base allows us the diversity to be able to dynamically attack the Data Link Requirements to lay out, design, build and configure a link to sdatisfy our clients requirements. Should the situation require it we can obtain service from "local" companies that are often in-place to provide services required.
